Privacy policy

Louvels.dev B.V., established in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, values the protection of your personal data. In this privacy policy we explain which personal data we collect and process, for what purpose, and what rights you have, when you visit our website, apply for a job with us, or are in contact with us as a (prospective) client.

Contact details

Louvels.dev B.V. is established at Marconistraat 16, 3029 AK Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 86434357. For questions about this privacy policy or about the processing of your personal data, please contact us at info@louvels.dev. This privacy policy applies to our websites louvels.dev and skaihub.com.

Scope of this privacy policy

This privacy policy applies to the personal data that Louvels.dev B.V. processes about visitors to our websites (louvels.dev and skaihub.com), job applicants, and contact persons at (prospective) clients and other business relations. This policy does not apply to personal data that our clients themselves process within the SKAI platform, such as data of their own employees, customs contacts, or other contacts they record in SKAI. For that data, the relevant client is the data controller. Louvels.dev B.V. acts solely as a data processor, hosting and maintaining the platform on the client's behalf and instructions. The arrangements for this are set out in a separate data processing agreement between Louvels.dev B.V. and the relevant client. If you are an end user of SKAI and have questions about your data, please contact your own employer or the organisation that granted you access to SKAI.

Who processes your personal data

Louvels.dev B.V. processes your personal data. In addition, we make use of a small number of carefully selected third parties to support our business operations, namely Microsoft Azure (hosting of skaihub.com, of our applications and of other systems), Webflow (hosting of louvels.dev), and Exact Online (invoicing and accounting). We have entered into data processing agreements with these parties to ensure an appropriate level of security and confidentiality for your data. Louvels.dev B.V. remains responsible for these processing activities.

What personal data we process

From visitors to our website, we process: your IP address, browser type and device type, data about your activity on our website, and data obtained through functional and analytical cookies. From job applicants, we process: your first and last name, contact details (e-mail address, phone number, address), curriculum vitae, cover letter and, where applicable, portfolio, and other data you actively provide as part of the application process, such as a LinkedIn profile. From clients, prospects and business relations, we process: the name and role of the contact person, company name and Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number, business e-mail address and phone number, billing and address details, and other data required to prepare a quotation or perform an agreement.

Cookies

We only place functional and analytical cookies. Functional cookies are necessary for the website to work properly. We use analytical cookies to understand how our website is used, so that we can improve it. We do not place marketing or third-party tracking cookies.

Sharing with third parties

Louvels.dev B.V. does not sell your personal data and does not share it with third parties for commercial purposes. We only share your data with: the processors named in Article 3 (Microsoft Azure, Webflow, Exact Online), insofar as necessary for their services to us; government authorities or regulators, where we are legally required to do so; and our advisors (e.g. accountant or lawyer), insofar as necessary for their advisory work and subject to confidentiality.

Transfer of data outside the EEA

Microsoft Azure hosts skaihub.com and our applications, and processes data in principle within European data centres. Insofar as Microsoft Azure processes data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), Microsoft provides appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, to guarantee an adequate level of protection. Webflow hosts louvels.dev. Webflow is a US-based company and may, in connection with its services, process data (partly) outside the EEA. In that case, Webflow provides the same kind of safeguards.

Retention periods

Job application data: no later than four weeks after the application process has concluded, unless you give us consent to retain it for longer (up to a maximum of one year) for future vacancies. Invoicing and administrative data: seven years, in accordance with the statutory tax retention obligation. Client and contact data: for the duration of the relationship, and thereafter for as long as necessary to handle any aftermath or legal obligations. Website data (analytics): no longer than necessary for the analysis purpose. We never retain your personal data longer than legally permitted and strictly necessary for the purpose of the processing.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights with regard to your personal data: the right of access to the personal data we process about you; the right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data; the right to erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”); the right to restriction of processing; the right to data portability; the right to object to the processing of your data; the right to withdraw previously given consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal; and the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@louvels.dev. We may ask you to provide a copy of valid identification to verify your identity. You may redact your photo and citizen service number (BSN) on this copy. We will respond within four weeks of receiving your request.

Information security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. Access to personal data is limited to employees for whom this is necessary to perform their role. We have entered into a data processing agreement with all third parties that process personal data on our behalf. Should a security incident nevertheless occur, despite our measures, that poses a risk to your privacy, we will inform you and, where legally required, the Dutch Data Protection Authority, as soon as possible.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may amend this privacy policy from time to time, for example in response to changes in laws and regulations or to changes in our services. The most up-to-date version can always be found on our website. In the event of significant changes, we will, where possible, actively inform you.

Contact and complaints

If you have questions about this privacy policy or about the processing of your personal data by Louvels.dev B.V., please contact us at info@louvels.dev. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your complaint, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
