What you work on

You work on declarations, not on a demo. Files come in as documents, are completed from Portbase and terminals, and go out as a T1, an unloading request or an import declaration. The systems you talk to are DMS, NCTS, DECO, TRACES-NT and CDS at HMRC. The three named customers do not resemble each other. At Fidocs, e-commerce batches run through DECO. At ICL the British side runs, with CDS and ENS. At CSI-Fresh, inspection and border control sit in the lead time. What you build has to carry those three flows without baking one way of working into the code.
